Industry Update
|
|
Throughout the San Joaquin Valley, due to El Niño, the crop
is smaller by about 20% and the fruit is smaller by at least one size with
a general peak on 113’s. During December, the industry expects only 20%
of the fruit will be 72’s. The fruit is also coming into sugar in an unusual
fashion – with smaller fruit sometimes testing before larger and irregular
testing throughout the Valley. |
